Educator of the Year 2019

Richard Cox

The Educator of the Year award was created to honor an educator that goes above and beyond in inspiring students, developing innovative training programs and working with the industry to further the opportunities for tomorrow's technicians.  This year's Educator of the Year was presented during Friday's Educator Think Tank Luncheon. His nomination was submitted by his students from North Central Kansas Tech.  Our recipient has been working in the industry for  over 20 years.  The knowledge he brings to his classroom helps students with their group work: leading teams through diagnosing and repairing a customer vehicle.  He also values investing his students in live customer work, giving back to the community they are in.  His students are proud that he has come full-circle in his career giving them someone to look up to: a man who graduated and is now teaching at NCK Tech.  We are very honored to have presented this award to none other than Richard Cox.
