This year's recipient, Dan Beeson, discovered his passion for the automotive industry and all things car when he was in high school in San Jose, CA. After studying Automotive Technology at a college in the San Francisco Bay area, he worked as a Chevrolet Technician at GM dealerships. Our Educator of the Year winner first dipped his toe in the realm of education at Clark College in Vancouver, WA because his wife tricked him into teaching a night class on emission controls and diagnostics - collaborating with the likes of Kirk VanGelder and Mike Godson. In 1996, Dan finally hung up his wrench and began an incredibly challenging and fulfilling career as full-time faculty at Bellingham Technical College. Fast-forward to 2020 and our winner has now gained the dubious distinction of becoming the most veteran instructor of the 55 full-time faculty where he teaches.
